Lots of RAM for Unix

quoted from Teach Yourself... UNIX 3rd Edition :
"[Many] experts advise the purchase of UNIX systems with huge amounts of RAM. UNIX workstations with 64 megabytes of RAM are not uncommon these days, especially those systems dealing with graphics"

Of course this was written in 1995. Most UNIX commands haven't changed much since then. They've just gotten better GUI's and stuff. So most of the information in the book is still useful. I learned a few things about awk, sed, troff, and some other programs that aren't too popular anymore because of the GUI tools, but are still used for scripts and stuff.

Comments:
Oh man! 64 megabytes of RAM... Imagine the possibilities.
