A bit more on technology
The more advanced our technology becomes, the more dependent we become until we cannot survive without it.
This is what bothers me.
Oh yeah, the question mark after the Bubonic plague in the previous post is because I was not sure that there is a cure for it. It seems to come and go on its own. We now know how it is spread and can control this somewhat. We can treat it with antibiotics, but this does not always work and it must be treated quickly (as soon as symptoms appear).

In the case of Bubonic Plague, the old saying, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" applies. Yes, bubonic plague breaks out from time to time. But only in places with extremely bad sanitation. Modern medicine is not just about drugs. Sanitation is a big part of it, too.
